National Mississippi River Museum Ice Fest in Dubuque
Ice Fest is a winter family festival at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque, held each January and included with regular museum admission. Running for more than two decades, it combines indoor and outdoor winter activities including sledding, ice harvesting demonstrations, blacksmith demonstrations, and a Dubuque Fire Department open-water rescue demonstration.
Ice Fest has run for more than two decades at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque, growing into one of the museum's signature annual public programs and reaching editions numbered in the low twenties in recent years.
