Encinitas Oktoberfest in Encinitas
Encinitas Oktoberfest and Artisan Faire traces its inspiration to Olivenhain, a German farming colony founded near Encinitas in 1884, and has run since 1994 as San Diego County's premier Oktoberfest celebration. A German beer garden, Bavarian music and dance, and a local artisan marketplace draw more than 15,000 visitors each fall.
It has a recognizable cultural-food identity and official community event structure.
