West Side Nut Club Fall Festival in Evansville
The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival takes over Franklin Street in Evansville, Indiana for a full week every October. Founded in 1921 and run entirely by the nonprofit West Side Nut Club, it features more than 130 nonprofit-operated food booths and draws well over one hundred thousand visitors, making it one of the largest street festivals in the United States.
In 1921, a group of businessmen on the west side of Evansville, Indiana formed the West Side Nut Club with a mission stated plainly in their founding charter: to initiate, promote, and support movements for the betterment of the west side, and of Evansville as a whole.
