World Ice Art Championships in Fairbanks

The World Ice Art Championships is an ice sculpting competition held in Fairbanks, Alaska, produced by the nonprofit Ice Alaska since its first event in 1991. The largest contest of its kind in the world, it draws more than 100 sculptors from over 30 countries each year to compete across single-block, double-block, multi-block, and youth categories from mid-February through late March.

Ice Alaska, a nonprofit corporation started in 1989, produced its first World Ice Art Championship in 1991, a modest event featuring 16 sculpting teams over one week.
