Frankenmuth Oktoberfest in Frankenmuth
Frankenmuth Oktoberfest is a distinct autumn festival from the city's summer Bavarian Festival, held each September in Heritage Park in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Launched in 1990 and later recognized by Munich's own Lord Mayor as the first Oktoberfest sanctioned to operate outside that city, it centers on imported Hofbrauhaus beer, live polka music, and traditional German food over a Thursday-through-Sunday run.
Its official Oktoberfest identity and Bavarian town setting make it a strong row.
