Grant Seafood Festival in Grant-Valkaria
The Grant Seafood Festival takes over the small fishing village of Grant-Valkaria on Florida's Indian River Lagoon every March, marking roughly six decades of neighbors feeding neighbors. Volunteers alone cook and serve every plate, since no outside food vendors are accepted. Free admission draws crowds to more than two hundred craft booths, live music, and fried seafood, with proceeds funding the town library, historical house, and community scholarship fund.
Its volunteer-run seafood identity and long history make it a strong regional food row.
