Vermont Cheesemakers Festival in Greensboro
The Vermont Cheesemakers Festival is an annual celebration of the state's artisan cheese industry, held historically at Shelburne Farms and, during renovation years, at the Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro. Vermont Cheese Council-affiliated cheesemakers pour and sample alongside craft beverage producers, chefs and specialty food vendors at what has grown into one of the region's premier dairy events.
Vermont's reputation as a center of American artisan cheesemaking rests on an unusually dense network of small, licensed producers, and each year that industry gathers in one place for the Vermont Cheesemakers Festival, an event organized in partnership with the Vermont Cheese Council, the trade association representing the state's cheesemakers.
