Mushroom Festival in Kennett Square
The Mushroom Festival is a two-day street fair held the weekend after Labor Day in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, known as the Mushroom Capital of the World because the surrounding region produces more than half of the mushrooms grown in the United States. The festival stretches over a mile through downtown, combining mushroom-themed food and cooking competitions with a growers' exhibit, live music, and a car and fire truck show.
Its specific crop heritage makes it one of Pennsylvania's strongest food rows.
