Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach

Pageant of the Masters is a ninety-minute tableaux vivants performance staged nightly each summer at the Irvine Bowl amphitheater in Laguna Beach, in which costumed volunteers recreate famous paintings and sculptures as motionless living pictures, accompanied by a live orchestra and professional narration. Dating to 1933 and formalized under producer Roy Ropp by 1935, it draws more than a quarter million visitors each year.
