World Famous Blue Crab Festival in Little River
The World Famous Blue Crab Festival celebrates Little River, South Carolina's fishing and waterway heritage each May along the Historic Little River Waterfront. Now in its fifth decade, the two-day festival draws roughly three hundred arts, crafts, food, and business vendors alongside live beach music, earning recognition as the Grand Strand's best festival for twelve consecutive years.
The World Famous Blue Crab Festival grew out of Little River's identity as a working fishing village on South Carolina's northern coast, a community whose economy and culture have long revolved around blue crabs, shrimp, and other Atlantic seafood pulled from the Intracoastal Waterway and nearby ocean waters.
