Alligator Festival in Luling
Alligator Festival opens with Locals Night on Thursday, giving the weekend a neighborhood-first start before the wider crowds arrive. Held on the last full weekend of September, it fills Luling's park with live alligator exhibits, Cajun food stands, carnival rides, and a music stage in one long loop. Families move through the grounds at their own pace rather than following a fixed schedule.
You walk into Westbank Bridge Park and the whole place feels like south Louisiana showing off without trying too hard: smoke from the grills, kids angling for carnival rides, and a band pushing its sound out into the warm September evening.
