West Virginia Pumpkin Festival in Milton
The West Virginia Pumpkin Festival fills Milton with a giant pumpkin weigh-off, carving contests, and pumpkin-themed food each early October. Held in a Cabell County town also known for its Blenko Glass heritage, the multi-day festival pairs its agricultural centerpiece with a parade, carnival rides, and arts and crafts vendors, giving the community an autumn celebration built around the harvest.
The West Virginia Pumpkin Festival grew out of Milton's agricultural roots in the Mud River valley of Cabell County, where pumpkin growing became established enough locally to support a dedicated harvest festival built around it.
