Porter Peach Festival in Porter
The Porter Peach Festival is an annual July celebration in Porter, Oklahoma, the self-declared Peach Capital of Oklahoma. Started in 1967 and organized by local volunteers, the multi-day festival marked its 60th anniversary in 2026 with fresh peach sales, a parade, live music, a classic car show, tractor pulls, cornhole and pickleball tournaments, a culinary contest, and the festival's signature peaches-and-cream eating contest.
Porter sits in an area of eastern Oklahoma bottomland well suited to peach orchards, and by the mid-twentieth century the small town had built enough of a reputation around the crop to informally call itself the Peach Capital of Oklahoma.
