Taos Winter Wine Festival in Taos
The Taos Winter Wine Festival is a four-day food and wine celebration held each February in the Village of Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico, with additional events in the town of Taos. Around thirty winery partners pour alongside dishes from Taos-area restaurants across ticketed wine dinners, seminars, a Grand Tasting, and a Reserve Tasting with silent auction, drawing skiers and wine enthusiasts to the mountain resort during the heart of ski season.
Taos Ski Valley opened in 1955 as a small, family-run resort founded by Swiss ski racer Ernie Blake, and it grew over the following decades into one of the more distinctive ski destinations in the American Southwest, known for steep terrain and a European-influenced village at the base of the mountain.
