Terlingua International Chili Championship in Terlingua

The Terlingua International Chili Championship, run by the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) at Rancho CASI de los Chisos near Terlingua, is a five-day desert chili-cooking event culminating each first Saturday of November in the qualifiers-only Terlingua International Chili Championship. It is one of two rival cookoffs that both descend from the original 1967 Terlingua chili contest, and the two are frequently confused with each other.
