Long Khanh Fruit Festival in Long Khanh
The Long Khanh Fruit Festival celebrates Dong Nai province's reputation as the fruit capital of southeastern Vietnam, with garden-tourism programming in Binh Loc ward drawing tens of thousands of visitors each June to pick and buy rambutan, durian, mangosteen, and other orchard fruit directly from growers.
Long Khanh, in Dong Nai province northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, has earned its local nickname, the fruit capital, the hard way: through hundreds of orchard households and roughly a dozen eco-tourism garden sites concentrated in Binh Loc ward alone, shipping tens of tons of rambutan a day to markets in Ho Chi Minh City and central Vietnam during peak harvest.
