The Boma Dinner and Drum Festival in Victoria Falls
The Boma is a nightly cultural dinner-and-drum show at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe, pairing a four-course African buffet with live marimba, traditional dance and a communal drumming session. Rather than a single dated festival, it runs as a recurring evening program for lodge guests and visiting travelers exploring the town of Victoria Falls.
Long before it was a dinner show, the boma was a practical structure: a circular, fenced enclosure built around a central fire, used across Southern Africa as a meeting ground where elders settled disputes, travelers were welcomed and livestock was kept safe overnight.
