Korça's month-long December Christmas Market, running December 6th through 31st around the Cathedral and Republika Boulevard, combines traditional sweets like baklava and qifqi with concerts, choir performances and DJ nights, all with free admission. with free admission maintained throughout the entire month-long celebration each year.
Korça earns its nickname as Albania's 'city of lights' most fully each December, when its annual Christmas Market transforms the city into what local coverage consistently describes as a winter fairy-tale scene, running from December 6th through the 31st and drawing visitors from across the country to what has become known as the capital of Albania's year-end celebrations.
