A Tirana jazz festival built around Hemingway Tirana bar, held each July 21st on the writer's birthday, now in its twelfth edition and drawing international jazz artists, an eighth edition alone featuring 34 performers from abroad. continuing to grow the bar's original literary tribute into a genuinely substantial annual music event.

The Hemingway Jazz Festival grew directly out of Hemingway Tirana, a small bar completely dedicated to the writer and decorated with old typewriters, oil lamps and vintage nautical trinkets, its menu built around Ernest Hemingway's own favourite drinks.
