Canillo Handicrafts Fair in Canillo

The Fira de Canillo combines a livestock exhibition of native and locally raised breeds with a craft market of more than forty stalls, wool, preserves, cured meats, pastries, honey and textiles, held at Càmping Pla on the first Sunday after 16 October, with the craft element revived in 1990 to preserve disappearing techniques.

Local cattle led out for exhibition alongside more than forty stalls of wool, cured meats and honey is what makes the Fira de Canillo more than a standard handicrafts market: it is formally a joint livestock and craft fair, the Fira del Bestiar i de l'Artesania de Canillo, held at Càmping Pla on the first Sunday after 16 October.
