Carnaval Infantil de Luanda in Luanda
The Children's Class segment of Carnaval de Luanda, held along the Nova Marginal in mid-February, featuring around fifteen youth carnival groups performing costumed, choreographed routines set to traditional Angolan rhythms ahead of the adult parade. Its documented return after a pandemic-era pause was treated locally as a meaningful marker of the carnival tradition's continuity across generations of Luanda families.
Ahead of the main competitive procession, Carnaval de Luanda opens each February with its Children's Class parade, a dedicated segment of the carnival built specifically around young performers from across the province.
