National Confluence Festival in Neuquen

A four-night, river-island music festival in Neuquen that has grown rapidly since its 2013 founding into one of Patagonia's largest free gatherings, combining a rotating nightly lineup of Argentine popular and folk acts with a gastronomic walk and a dedicated space for hundreds of local entrepreneurs.

Neuquen's biggest annual festival takes its name from a literal geographic fact: the Limay and Neuquen rivers converge at the city's edge to form the Rio Negro, and the Fiesta Nacional de la Confluencia treats that convergence as a metaphor for the mix of migrant communities, Patagonian, Andean, and from across Argentina's interior, that built the city over the twentieth century.
