Mawazine - Rhythms of the World in Rabat/Sale
Mawazine, Rhythms of the World, is an annual international music festival held each June across Rabat and Sale, Morocco, running roughly eight to nine days. The 2025 edition drew a record 3.75 million attendees, making it one of the worlds largest music festivals. About 90 percent of concerts are free, with venues including OLM Souissi, Bouregreg Stage, Nahda Stage, and Chellah Stage.
Mawazine matters because it places Morocco in conversation with the world's music while giving huge public audiences access to live performance.
