Masa Vienesa Festival

An Easter pastry festival in Villa General Belgrano, Córdoba, built around Viennese and Austrian baking traditions brought by the town's German and Austrian settlers. Strudel and torte tastings run alongside chamber-music performances of sacred works, distinct from the town's better-known beer and chocolate festivals held later in the year, now in its fifty-fifth edition, part of a themed festival calendar the town built up beginning in the 1960s.

Villa General Belgrano was founded by German and Austrian settlers in the early twentieth century, and the town built its tourism identity around that heritage from the 1960s onward, developing a calendar of themed festivals — a beer festival, an Alpine chocolate festival, a Christmas fair, and the Masa Vienesa festival among them — each tied to a specific strand of the town's Central European culinary tradition.
