Cultures of Carnival in Cas di Cultura/Oranjestad
Cultures of Carnival is a theatrical production at Cas di Cultura in Oranjestad exploring the shared roots of Aruban and Brazilian carnival through music and dance. Built with Fidelinas Entertainment Netherlands, Club di Movimento and Scol di Musica Rufo Wever, the week includes school-only performances and youth samba workshops before culminating in a public evening show, typically priced around twenty dollars.
Cas di Cultura, Aruba's national theater in Oranjestad, built Cultures of Carnival around a genuinely different question than most carnival-season programming asks: not what carnival looks like, but where it comes from.
