BrisAsia Festival in Brisbane
Run by Brisbane City Council each February around Lunar New Year, BrisAsia Festival is Brisbane's biggest showcase of Asian culture, spreading concerts, street festivals, cultural workshops and food experiences across dozens of suburbs as well as the CBD. Now in its second decade, it combines lion and dragon dance celebrations with contemporary and traditional Asian arts programming, much of it free.
BrisAsia Festival is a Brisbane City Council initiative that has become the city's largest showcase of Asian culture, cuisine, art and music, built around the Lunar New Year season and running for around three weeks each February.
