Poolbar Festival in Feldkirch
Poolbar Festival is a six-week summer culture festival in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, founded in 1994 and staged in the Alte Hallenbad, a disused 1970s indoor swimming pool converted each year into concert stages, bars and art installations. Its Poolbar Generator program has design students create and build the festival's physical installations each spring, making the venue's look change substantially from one year to the next.
Poolbar Festival began in 1994, not as a planned festival but as a loose series of 18 artistic workshops in theater, painting and graphics organized by a group of young friends in Feldkirch, a small city in Vorarlberg near the Swiss and Liechtenstein borders.
