Ars Electronica Festival in Linz
Ars Electronica is Linz's September festival of media art, science and technology, spreading exhibitions, robotics demonstrations and sound installations through venues across the city. Anchored by the permanent Ars Electronica Center on the Danube, it doubles as the venue for the Prix Ars Electronica media-art award and draws researchers alongside artists.
Ars Electronica began in 1979 with a simple premise: treat art, science and technology as one conversation instead of three separate disciplines, and hold it in public.
