Mozart Week Salzburg in Salzburg

Mozart Week is an annual classical music festival in Salzburg dedicated exclusively to the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, established in 1956 by the International Mozarteum Foundation to mark the bicentenary of his birth. Held each winter around Mozart's 27 January birthday, it presents roughly ten days of orchestral, chamber and solo performances at venues including the Mozarteum's Grosser Saal, the Haus fur Mozart and the Grosses Festspielhaus.

Mozart Week was established in 1956 by the International Mozarteum Foundation to mark the 200th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's birth in Salzburg on 27 January 1756, and it has been held annually every winter since around that date, distinguishing it from the city's larger summer Salzburg Festival.
