SLASH Filmfestival in Vienna

SLASH Filmfestival is Austria's dedicated festival for horror, science fiction, fantasy and animation, screening around seventy features and shorts as Austrian premieres across roughly eleven days each autumn. Anchored at Filmcasino since its 2010 founding, it later added Metro Kinokulturhaus as a second main venue.

SLASH launched in 2010 under the Verein zur Forderung des Fantastischen Films, a nonprofit built specifically to promote genre film in Austria, with Filmcasino as its founding venue and continued anchor ever since.
