Grand Bahama Junkanoo Parade in Freeport
Grand Bahama holds its own Junkanoo parade, nicknamed the Pineyard Rush, along Explorers Way in downtown Freeport, organized separately from Nassau's Bay Street events by the Grand Bahama Junkanoo Corporation. Running around Boxing Day and New Year's Day with an evening start near 8pm, the parade gives Freeport-based Junkanoo groups their own competitive stage distinct from the capital's much larger celebration.
Grand Bahama runs its own Junkanoo parade independent of Nassau's Bay Street events, staged along Explorers Way in downtown Freeport rather than New Providence, and organized locally through the Grand Bahama Junkanoo Corporation.
