The Bluff Eleuthera Homecoming in The Bluff
The Bluff's homecoming week runs the 8th through 13th of July in this small North Eleuthera settlement, built around rake-and-scrape music through the night, roadside conch salad and grilled fish, yard dominoes games, and a Thanksgiving-style church service that opens six days of concentrated reunion for a community that scatters across the diaspora the rest of the year.
The Bluff, a small settlement on North Eleuthera, holds its homecoming week each July, and the arrival moment sets the tone for everything that follows: family members who left for Nassau, Miami or Toronto step off the ferry or out of a rental car to find someone on the pier already calling their name.
