Bahrain Heritage Festival

Held annually at the Bahrain National Museum since 1992, this heritage festival puts traditional Bahraini craftspeople, including basket-weavers and potters, to work live in the open, alongside exhibits on pearl diving, falconry and a recreated traditional wedding room. Traditional music accompanies the demonstrations. It extends the museum's permanent Customs and Traditions galleries into a hands-on, working format, best treated as a half-day add-on to a regular museum visit rather than a standalone destination.

Basket-weavers, potters and other traditional craftspeople work in the open at the Bahrain National Museum during this festival, demonstrating skills the organizing Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities has staged annually since 1992 to keep Bahraini folk trades visible to a public that increasingly encounters them only in museum cases.
