Dhaka Lit Fest is Bangladesh's leading English-language literary festival, held annually at Bangla Academy in Dhaka since growing out of a 2011 Hay Festival pilot. Multiple stages across the Academy grounds host author talks, readings, book stalls and film screenings over several days, drawing both major international writers and Bangladesh's own literary scene to one walkable campus.

Dhaka Lit Fest started life as a single-day pilot under the Hay Festival brand in 2011, propped up by bamboo book stalls that a British producer thought worth trying out as an unexpected new stop on the Hay-on-Wye festival's global circuit.
