Lalon Festival and Lalon Fair in Kushtia/Dhaka/64 districts

Since 2025, Bangladesh's government has run a coordinated national version of the Lalon death-anniversary observance, with a three-day core program at Kushtia's Lalon Akhra, a one-day Dhaka event, and simultaneous smaller fairs in all 64 districts. It is a formal, ministry-organized cultural program rather than the older grassroots overnight singing mela at the same shrine.

In October 2025, Bangladesh's Ministry of Cultural Affairs turned a single Kushtia shrine gathering into a coordinated event running in all 64 districts at once, an attempt to carry Lalon's songs far past the akhra where he is buried.
