Urs Shah Paran in Sylhet
Outside Sylhet, the Khadim Nagar shrine of Shah Paran, nephew and disciple of Shah Jalal, holds its own Urs over three days fixed to the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awal, distinct from his uncle's shrine and calendar in the city center. The gathering is smaller and more local than the citywide Shah Jalal Urs.
A few kilometres outside Sylhet, at a place called Khadim Nagar, a smaller shrine holds the grave of Shah Jalal's own nephew, and its Urs runs on a separate date fixed to the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awal rather than his uncle's calendar.
