Foreday Morning Jam in Bridgetown

A pre-dawn street jump-up during Barbados's Crop Over season, running roughly from one to six in the morning as revelers in old clothes follow music trucks through Bridgetown while getting doused in paint, mud or powder. It is the festival's rawest, least photographed event, distinct from the daytime costumed Kadooment parade later the same week.

Foreday Morning Jam starts in darkness, typically around one in the morning right after Barbados's new Calypso Monarch is announced at the Pic-O-De-Crop Finals, and ends roughly five hours later as the sun comes up over the Spring Garden Highway.
