Animaevka International Animation Festival in Mogilev
Mogilev's cinemas fill with animated shorts from dozens of countries each autumn when Animaevka, Belarus's international animation festival, opens its competition program. First held in 1998 on the initiative of Belarusfilm animator-director Igor Volchek, the festival now draws several hundred entries from dozens of countries across three competitions covering professional animation, children's animated creativity and children's visual and decorative arts.
