Antilliaanse Feesten in Hoogstraten
Hoogstraten's Antilliaanse Feesten is one of the largest Caribbean and Latin music festivals in Europe, running every second weekend of August since 1983. Genres span kaseko, zouk, soca, salsa, dancehall and reggaeton, drawing an international diaspora crowd to a small Campine border town. Despite an unrelated database tag, it is squarely a music festival, not a design or innovation event.
Hoogstraten, a small Campine market town near the Dutch border, hosts what organizers and Caribbean-music press alike call the largest Caribbean music festival in the world every second weekend of August.
