Quand Parakou Rap Festival in Parakou
Organized by Layno Prod and Hprod, Quand Parakou Rap (QPR) has spent close to a decade turning Parakou into what organizers call Benin's rap capital of the north, with a two-day February program centered on the Bakinkoura neighborhood. It draws homegrown rap and urban music talent from Parakou and beyond, giving the north's hip-hop scene a dedicated annual stage of its own.
Quand Parakou Rap, often shortened to QPR, is a hip-hop and urban music festival held each February in Parakou, the largest city in northern Benin and the unofficial capital of the country's Borgou region.
