Nimalung Tshechu in Nimalung Dratshang
Nimalung Tshechu is a small masked-dance festival performed by monks trained at Nimalung Dratshang, a Pema Lingpa-lineage monastic college in Bumthang's Chhume valley. It offers a quieter, more local alternative to the larger tshechus nearby at Jakar and Kurjey.
Nimalung Dratshang is a monastic college in the Chhume valley of Bumthang, founded in the twentieth century by a spiritual figure descended from the great treasure-revealer Terton Pema Lingpa, whose teaching lineage remains closely tied to Bumthang's religious life.
