Corso Infantil Cochabamba in Cochabamba
Corso Infantil is Cochabamba's dedicated children's Carnival parade, held ahead of the city's main adult corso, with school groups, dance academies and family comparsas marching in scaled-down costumes to the same cueca, caporales and morenada rhythms. The route is shorter, the pace gentler and the crowd heavy with parents and grandparents, making it a warmer, more local counterpart to the bigger parade later in the Carnival calendar.
Before Cochabamba's adults take over the streets for the main Carnival parade, the city gives the spotlight to its children with Corso Infantil, a dedicated parade where school groups, dance troupes and family comparsas march in miniature versions of the costumes seen at the bigger event.
