Bulgaria's annual LGBT pride march through central Sofia, held each June since its first, heavily contested edition on 28 June 2008. What began as roughly 150 marchers facing stones and counter-protesters from far-right groups has grown into a larger annual march with police protection, a rally with speeches and music, and associated film screenings and community events organized around it.
