FIMAES-BKF is a newly launched multisectoral economic trade fair in Ouagadougou tied to the Alliance des Etats du Sahel confederation, spanning agriculture, industry, crafts, mining, finance, and tourism sectors rather than functioning as a dedicated artisan-crafts showcase like SIAO. The launch reflects a broader push among Alliance des Etats du Sahel members to build economic institutions parallel to older regional bodies the three countries have distanced themselves from.

FIMAES-BKF held its first edition in Ouagadougou, organized by a collective of young entrepreneurs from Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and their diaspora communities under the banner BK-S.
