Preah Khan Kampong Svay Heritage Festival

Preah Khan of Kampong Svay, known as Prasat Bakan, is the largest single religious complex from the Angkorian era, built across successive kings including Jayavarman VII, who reportedly sheltered here during a period of Cham occupation. No dedicated recurring heritage festival is documented at the remote Preah Vihear province site, which instead draws visitors mainly through general regional tourism during broader Cambodian holiday periods.

Preah Khan of Kampong Svay, also called Prasat Bakan, stands as the largest single religious complex built during the Angkorian era, its outer enclosure spreading across more than twenty square kilometers of forest in a remote corner of what is now Preah Vihear province, roughly a hundred kilometers east of Angkor itself.
