RAVY - Rencontres d'Arts Visuels de Yaounde in Yaounde
RAVY, the Rencontres d'Arts Visuels de Yaounde, is a biennial international contemporary art festival held in Cameroon's capital. Founded in 2008 by artists Serge Olivier Fokoua and Mbassi Landry, it stages exhibitions, performances, and installations across public spaces, galleries, and cultural venues, pairing Cameroonian artists with international peers over roughly a week to make contemporary art accessible beyond conventional gallery walls.
RAVY, short for Rencontres d'Arts Visuels de Yaounde, began in 2008 out of a collaboration between the French artist Jean Voguet and the Cameroonian artist Serge Olivier Fokoua, working together at Crane Lab, an experimental art space in Yaounde.
