Salon International de l'Artisanat du Cameroun in Yaounde
SIARC is Cameroon's biennial international crafts fair, held at Yaounde's National Museum and drawing around 20,000 visitors and 800 exhibitors from a dozen countries in recent editions. Each edition names a guest country of honour, with past guests including Tunisia and Cote d'Ivoire, and centres on turning craft traditions into commercial opportunity through direct sales, training and international partnerships.
SIARC is built to move Cameroonian craftwork past the souvenir stall and toward genuine commerce: recent editions have drawn roughly 20,000 visitors and around 800 exhibitors from a dozen or so countries to the National Museum grounds in Yaounde, figures that put it well beyond a typical local artisan market.
