Calgary Lilac Festival in Calgary
Started in 1989 by the Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association, Calgary Lilac Festival now draws well over one hundred thousand visitors to a free, all-ages street fair timed each June to the neighborhood's blooming lilacs. Thirteen blocks of 4th Street SW plus part of 17th Avenue close to traffic. Expect over five hundred vendor booths, live entertainment stages and family activity zones.
