Hillside Festival in Guelph
Hillside Festival has run each July since 1984 on Guelph Lake Island inside the Guelph Lake Conservation Area, a compact water-bound site that keeps the event intimate by design. Known for early environmental commitments, composting and low-waste practices, and a volunteer-driven operating model, the festival favors independent and alternative Canadian artists over mainstream headline bookings.
Hillside Festival has run each July since 1984 on Guelph Lake Island, a compact peninsula-like site inside the Guelph Lake Conservation Area that gives the festival a genuinely rare setting among Canadian music events, water on multiple sides, tree cover, and a footprint small enough that no stage sits far from any other.
