Alianait Arts Festival in Iqaluit
Alianait Arts Festival is a summer performing-arts festival in Iqaluit, Nunavut, running since 2005 across multiple stages including a big-top tent. Distinct from Iqaluit's older community festival Toonik Tyme, it programs music, theatre, circus, film, and Inuit storytelling and throat singing from performers across Nunavut, Canada, and abroad, typically in a June-to-July window that trades winter cold for long summer daylight.
Alianait Arts Festival began in Iqaluit in 2005 as a produced performing-arts event, distinct from the city's older community festival, Toonik Tyme, in both season and format.
